Width Threshold (%)
Helper filterBOTH DIRECTIONS
The number you pick is the minimum gap between the two EMAs. If the gap does not exceed it, the signal from your chosen condition is not counted even when it fires. If it does exceed it, whatever your condition says stands.
Main criterion or helper filter?
HELPER FILTER — It does not open a trade on its own. This box is not a condition, it is a lower bound laid on top of the condition you pick. If you pick no condition beside it, this indicator never runs at all. When you do pick one, the signal counts only once the gap between the two lines passes the number you typed — if it does not, the signal is blocked. Holds in 20 of 20 candles in this scenario (100%).
Which conditions is it used with?
This box is not a condition; it sits on top of the EMA condition you pick. Next to it you can add as many as you like of the EMA, MACD, Fisher, RSI, VWAP, volume, MTF and BTC gate conditions. One rule only: every requirement you pick must hold ON THE SAME CANDLE. This threshold applies only to EMA conditions — the other indicators have their own threshold boxes.
Why does it exist, and what is it for?
A cross of EMAs glued together is usually sideways noise; this setting holds off until the lines separate. Because it is a percentage, the same number means the same thing on every coin.
The trap on the crossover candle
On the crossover candle the gap is ~0 — the threshold and the crossover usually do not meet on the same candle; they only meet while the Condition Window is open. Shaded area: gold = the gap is enough, gate OPEN.
