EMA 9 Above EMA 21
Helper filterLONG
Single condition: in the current candle EMA 9 is above EMA 21. No crossover is required, no history is checked, and exact equality doesn't count as above.
What is EMA?
EMA 9 is the weighted average of the last nine candles, EMA 21 of the last twenty-one; recent candles carry more weight. The fast one (9) reacts quickly to price, the slow one (21) reacts late. This condition doesn't ask about the crossover, it asks about the current order of the two.
How do you use it?
If you pick it alone, the bot opens the trade on the first candle EMA 9 is above EMA 21 — because the state persists, the entry comes early. If you pair it with a trigger (crossover, strength rising…), the trigger provides the signal, and if this condition doesn't hold on that same candle, the signal drops. The second use is more common.
Which settings does it read?
This condition reads no box: neither Condition Window nor threshold. There's no setting to make it stricter — your only lever is adding another condition alongside it. If the value can't be calculated yet, the condition doesn't hold.
Does this condition close the position?
It only approves the entry; even if the condition breaks after the position opens, it doesn't close it. What closes it is your choice: if Profit Lock is on, PNL tracking takes over (while it's on, the Trailing Stop, Take Profit Net, Limit Take Profit Net boxes are locked); if it's off, the numbers you entered in these three are placed as orders on Binance and the position closes from there. DCA Rescuer and Liquidation Shield kick in under their own conditions; and you can always close from the panel with CLOSE or manually from Binance.
