Downward Crossover · Strength Rising

Main criterionSHORT

After the fast EMA crossed below the slow EMA, it goes short only if the gap between them is wide enough and still widening. It looks at the strength of the cross, not just the cross.

Main criterion or helper filter?

MAIN CRITERION — Can be an entry rule on its own: it looks for an event HAPPENING on a specific candle and fires there. Holds in 1 of 27 candles in this scenario (4%).

Why does it work this way?

In a sideways market the two EMAs keep touching each other and produce dozens of false crosses a day. The gap condition filters out this noise: a trade opens only when the two averages genuinely separate. The momentum condition prevents being late — if the gap has started to narrow, the move is already ending.

Which settings does it read?

The look-back window is how many bars a cross stays “fresh”; the width threshold is the gap as a share of price — raise it for fewer but stronger signals. The shaded area on the chart is that gap.

Why the direction confirmation?

The gap is an absolute value, so it also grows if price reverses and the gap opens the other way. That is why the bot additionally checks whether the fast EMA is still below — if it has flipped, no trade.

Does this condition close the position?

It only approves the entry; even if the condition breaks later, it does not close the position. What closes it is your choice: if Profit Lock is on, PNL tracking (while it is on, the Trailing Stop, Take Profit Net and Limit TP Net boxes are locked); if it is off, the figures you enter in these three are placed on Binance as orders and the position closes there. DCA Rescue and Liquidation Shield step in under their own conditions; you can also always close it with CLOSE on the panel or manually on Binance.
