Entry strategy · VWAP

Downward Crossover

Main criterionSHORT

Single condition, single candle: the previous Heikin Ashi candle closed above or exactly on VWAP, this candle closed below it. Price has crossed the average from above to below; opens SHORT. Dipping below within the candle and coming back doesn't count — the close is what matters.

What is VWAP?

The volume-weighted average of every price traded on this coin today — the answer to "what average price did today's buyers pay." It resets at UTC 00:00 and accumulates as the day goes on.

Institutions watch this line because they don't place a large order all at once; they split it across the day and fill it piece by piece. Their goal is to fill at a price equal to or better than the day's VWAP, and the brokerage's success is measured by that. So for them VWAP is a cost scorecard, not a buy/sell signal.

How do you use it?

Opens an entry on its own: it triggers on the crossover candle, and doesn't re-trigger on later candles. Adding a helper filter alongside it (RSI, MACD, EMA, ADX, BTC gate) filters the signal. The first crossovers at the start of the session are unreliable because VWAP hasn't settled yet.

Which settings does it read?

This condition reads no box: no window — the event is only counted on the crossover candle; no threshold, no distance, no momentum. VWAP resets every day at UTC 00:00.

Does this condition close the position?

This condition only approves the entry; even if price later rises above VWAP, it doesn't close the position. What closes it is your choice: if Profit Lock is on, PNL tracking takes over (while it's on, the Trailing Stop, Take Profit Net, Limit Take Profit Net boxes are locked); if it's off, the numbers you entered in these three are placed as orders on Binance and the position closes from there. DCA Rescuer and Liquidation Shield kick in under their own conditions; and you can always close from the panel with CLOSE or manually from Binance.
