Confirmed Upward Crossover

Main criterionLONG

Two conditions: MACD crossed above Signal exactly on this candle and the MACD line has been higher than the previous candle in each of the last 2 candles (you decide). If both hold on the same candle, it opens LONG. It also works below zero — it doesn't look at the zone. You set this window (candle count) yourself.

What is MACD?

The blue MACD line is the difference between the fast and slow averages; the orange Signal is its smoothed version. The histogram is the difference between the two: the moment it crosses zero is the moment MACD crosses Signal. The bot divides the histogram by the coin's own volatility (StdDev ×) so the "strength threshold" says the same thing for every coin.

How do you use it?

Opens an entry on its own: it triggers on the crossover candle. Sideways, the lines touch and separate producing crossovers with nothing behind them; the "prior sustained rise" condition filters these false crossovers out. Adding a direction filter alongside it (RSI, VWAP gate, BTC gate) reduces the signal count and raises its quality.

Which settings does it read?

The only box read is the Crossover Window (currently 2): how many candles must have risen without interruption before the crossover. If you enter 1, there are no two candles left to compare, so the condition NEVER holds — the minimum is 2. The Strength (StdDev ×) box is not read in this condition.

Does this condition close the position?

It only approves the entry; even if the condition breaks after the position opens, it doesn't close it. What closes it is your choice: if Profit Lock is on, PNL tracking takes over (while it's on, the Trailing Stop, Take Profit Net, Limit Take Profit Net boxes are locked); if it's off, the numbers you entered in these three are placed as orders on Binance and the position closes from there. DCA Rescuer and Liquidation Shield kick in under their own conditions; and you can always close from the panel with CLOSE or manually from Binance.

UMRAYS bot's Confirmed Upward Crossover explanation chart: the bot's status strip at the top, MACD lines and their labels on the chart.
From the bot's own explanation screen, on the decision candle: the strip at the top is the bot's sentence for that candle; the labels at the top left are the line names.

Each row was tested separately on this chart's own engine.
