DCA Rescue settings

The setting boxes in the DCA Rescue section: what each box does and what each value means. From the window the "?" next to the box opens in the bot.

Add Amount ($)

What exactly does this condition ask?

The margin spent on each DCA addition; multiplied by leverage and bought at the current price.

Which settings does it read?

In the panel, $2,5. Each addition means a $2,5 × leverage 20 = $50 buy; the amount is calculated from the current mark price. Since your trade size is $10, the addition carries %25 of the position's weight — this ratio decides how far the average will move down.

How do you use it?

In simple terms: you opened a $10 × 20 = $200 position at $1. The price halved and the signal repeated → a $2,5 × 20 = $50 extra buy, at $0.50. The average of the two buys is no longer $1; since the addition is %25 of the position, the average moves down partway — if the two buys had been equal in size it would land exactly in the middle, at $0.75. Wherever the average ends up, that's where the price needs to reach for the position to turn profitable. Making the amount bigger pulls the average down further, but it burns through the budget and margin fast.

What is DCA rescue?

DCA Rescuer makes an additional buy in the SAME direction on a losing position to bring the average cost closer to price; it doesn't erase the loss, it shortens the path back to profit. It doesn't work on its own: the trigger is the entry strategy signaling again in the same direction on that coin. When the signal arrives, five guards are checked: no second addition on the same candle, has the Cooldown elapsed, is the loss above Min Loss, is the addition count below Max Additions, is the DCA Budget sufficient. If all yes, a market buy of Add Amount × leverage goes out; the quantity is calculated from the price at that moment.

Does this condition close the position?

DCA doesn't close the position; it only lowers the average cost. It stops once the addition count, budget, or Max Total Margin cap is used up, and the position waits where it is. What closes it is your choice: if Profit Lock is on, PNL tracking takes over (while it's on, the Trailing Stop, Take Profit Net, Limit Take Profit Net boxes are locked); if it's off, the numbers you entered in these three are placed as orders on Binance and the position closes from there. DCA Rescuer and Liquidation Shield kick in under their own conditions; and you can always close from the panel with CLOSE or manually from Binance.

Max Additions

What exactly does this condition ask?

The most DCA additions a single position can get; once used up, DCA is done for that position.

Which settings does it read?

In the panel, 8. The counter is per position and resets when the position closes. Budget and Max Total Margin are separate caps — whichever fills first stops it.

How do you use it?

Two additions were made on screen (DCA 2 / 8): price recovered, so the counter didn't fill up. Had the drop continued, every new bounce from a bottom would have brought one more addition; after the 8. addition the counter is full and later signals are rejected. A higher number lets the average keep coming down in a long drop; more capital gets tied up in a falling coin.

DCA Budget ($)

What exactly does this condition ask?

The total margin cap for DCA additions across all positions; if used + new addition exceeds the cap, no addition is made.

Which settings does it read?

In the panel, $500. The counter accumulates while the bot runs; when a position closes, its share is freed. Add Amount × Max Additions × open position count can't exceed this budget.

How do you use it?

The status line below shows the budget: two additions were made, and the amount spent is a small part of the $500 budget. The budget is the total of additions across all open positions; once it's full, no addition is made even if a new signal arrives — DCA stops and the position waits where it is. The budget is the ceiling that keeps all your capital from going into additions on a bad day.

Min Loss (%)

What exactly does this condition ask?

No DCA is done until the loss reaches this percentage; it prevents adding on a small red.

Which settings does it read?

In the panel, %2. Loss = (entry − mark) ÷ entry (LONG; reversed for SHORT), as a price percentage. Even if a signal arrives, if the loss is below this threshold, NO ADDITION IS MADE (the loss has not reached the threshold).

How do you use it?

The add signals came at the bottom; the position was deep in loss at that moment, well past the %2 threshold → DCA 1 and DCA 2 were made. Had a signal come while price was near the entry, the loss wouldn't have reached %2 and no addition would have been made. Lower the threshold and additions happen on small drops too (the average comes down less, the budget runs out early); raise it and additions happen only in deep drops, each one pulling the average down more.

Cooldown (candles)

What exactly does this condition ask?

The minimum number of candles (on the scan timeframe) that must close between two DCA additions; a second addition on the same candle never happens anyway.

Which settings does it read?

In the panel, 5 candles. Signals that arrive before this many candles have closed since the last addition are rejected (a guard stopped them). The time runs on the scan timeframe: on 1-minute, 5 candles are 5 minutes; on 4-hour, 5 candles are 20 hours.

How do you use it?

DCA 1 and DCA 2 came from separate bottoms: after the first addition price sagged a while longer, and when the signal repeated on the second bounce the 5 candle wait had already passed → DCA 2 was made. A signal that arrives before the wait is over is rejected. A longer wait spreads additions apart (each comes from a more different price); a shorter one leads to back-to-back additions and a budget that runs out fast.
